A redesign for the Chrysler 300 came for the 2011 model year, with revisions including thinner roof pillars, a more raked windshield, bi-xenon HID projector headlights, LED daytime running strips within the headlights, new taillights with LEDs, and a horizontally slotted front grille. As with the prior generation, its comfortable ride and its generously-sized cabin made it an excellent road trip companion.
The SRT version received all the bells and whistles including a more powerful V8, a lower front fascia, body-colored exterior trim, larger exhaust tips, aluminum wheels, a lower and sportier suspension setup, and a large Brembo brake package.
Power comes from a 6.4-liter “Hemi” V8 engine, rated at 470 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. Output is sent to the rear wheels via a 5-speed automatic transmission.
