The third generation of the Acura RDX was introduced for the 2019 model year, offering a more spacious cabin, more tech features, and sharper handling. It also marked the return for Acura’s torque-vectoring SH-AWD system, which can send up to 70 percent of the engine’s torque to the rear axle.
Each one of the 360 RDX PMC Edition models were hand-assembled at Acura’s Performance Manufacturing Center (PMC) in Ohio, where the NSX is also produced, and finished exclusively in Thermal Orange Pearl. The painting process alone takes no less than five days, while every finished example undergoes the same meticulous quality control process as the NSX before heading out for delivery.
Power comes from a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-4 engine, rated at 272 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. Output is sent to all four wheels via a 10-speed automatic transmission and Acura’s SH-AWD system.
