Launched in Japan in 1993, the fourth-generation Supra (called A80 internally) was celebrated as one of Toyota’s best sports cars even before it earned a starring role in the Fast & Furious franchise. It offered performance that rivaled much more expensive cars, but it also had the reliability expected from a Toyota. Production ended in 2002, and the nameplate was consigned to the automotive attic until the BMW-based model arrived in 2019.
Power comes from a 2JZ-GTE 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-6, rated at 320 horsepower and 315 lb-ft of torque in stock form.
